A wizard idea!

Spellbound adventures are top of the bill this half term, as Erewash Museum present their Witchcraft and Wizardry Week from Monday 28th October – Friday 1st November.

Join in and dance away the cobwebs with DJ Hazza and his musical offerings on ‘Magical Monday’ and meet the wondrous animals being brought along by the very popular Woodies Wings, a charity that looks after captive bred birds including owls and parrots.

Cost: £1.50 per child (aged 2-16) adults go free. Times: 11am-3pm.

There’s plenty of free fun crafts on offer all week too.

The whole family can get creative and have a go at making paper lanterns, fashioning stained ‘glass’ out of paper or putting together a wooden magnet to take home.

Families will also be able to join in the hunt for Wally at the museum as part of the national Where’s Wally Big Museum Hunt.

The event will run throughout the whole half term week, giving visitors the chance to receive an ‘I Found Wally’ sticker at the end of the hunt and to enter the Where’s Wally and Kids in Museums grand prize draw.

Erewash Borough Council’s lead member for culture and leisure, Cllr Mike Wallis said: “The Halloween events at the museum are always a ‘spooktacular’ treat for the whole family with the added bonus this year of the animals from Woodies Wings and a fun disco.”
