Derby City Council is looking to hear from anyone who may be interested in managing the Dale Road Park building and its adjacent sports pitches.
The park – on Dale Road, Spondon – has a former changing facility on its grounds and could be used for any number of sports and leisure activities such as football or cricket.
The council says it could provide a great opportunity for a suitably experienced business or individual who may be interested in running the building and its pitches.
Businesses can also submit applications to manage just the building on the park’s grounds on its own.
Derby City Council’s parks team is looking for submissions that show a clear insight into the business that’s applying and imaginative proposals on how facilities could be used.
The application should fit the following criteria to be considered:
- Meets the needs of the local community
- Offers added value to the park and attracts new visitors
- Improves the building and potentially develops it to ensure its future viability
- Improves the pitches and enables increased use of the space
For more information and to gain access to the soft market test questionnaire, please visit the East Midlands Tenders website and search for ‘Dale Road Park Building and Pitches’.
The deadline for applications is midday on Monday 2nd September 2019.
