FCO travel update from North West ABTA chair

The latest update (5th April) from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office advises ‘against all but essential travel’ indefinitely.

This leaves travel operators to determine their own appropriate restrictions in relation to bookings.

Some might stick to restricting bookings prior to 16th April for now, others may extend this.

For instance, some will move restrictions to cover the period up to the end of April, May or even later dependant on their own planning/procedures.

Many operators are in the process of speaking to their clients to offer advice and reassurance.

For people whose bookings meant they were due to travel between 15th March and 15th April, it’s understood that a large number have re-booked for future dates.
