The start of the new year is traditionally we all hope to establish a new fitness regimes.
Well, this year Derby Arena is getting in on the act too and undergoing a transformation of its own, investing in new gym equipment and indoor group cycling bikes.
The state-of-the-art new gym equipment is being installed to provide the ultimate fitness experience for members.
Provided by Pulse Fitness – a leading global provider of innovative fitness equipment – the set up includes premium strength equipment, stepmills, cross-trainers, curved treadmills and an amazing bespoke functional training rig.
We’re breaking out in a sweat just thinking about it! (Sorry!)
Cllr Robin Wood, responsible for leisure at Derby City Council, said: “Providing the best experience for the users of our gyms is paramount to helping them develop their fitness, so we welcome this refurbishment of the facilities at Derby Arena just before its fifth anniversary.”
The new cardio equipment comes with a touch screen, wi-fi, Netflix and social media access.
It also includes PulseMove, which offers structured and guided personal workout programmes, as well as access to a range of E-Scape virtual reality workouts.
Members can run, jog or walk through a variety of exotic landscapes and locations to keep motivated whilst working out.
As well as this, PulseMove Professional software enables members to use their own fitness apps to track progress and achieve goals.
Further work will be completed on a refresh of the dance studio and the Derby Arena fitness team will soon be introducing a new indoor group cycling studio to enhance the facility’s offer for anyone wishing to kickstart their fitness journey.
