Next week sees a ‘spooktacular’ paranormal investigation and ghost hunt take place at Erewash Museum.
On Saturday 26th October, brave visitors with a fascination for all things ‘other-worldly’ will join professional ghost hunters who will be attempting to uncover the dark secrets of the museum.
Erewash Museum is housed inside Dalby House in Ilkeston, a late Georgian building with Victorian extensions.
Those joining the paranormal party will be given professional ghost-hunting equipment to record any supernatural activity in private areas of the museum building.
This is a serious late-night investigation for over 18s only and takes place from 7pm until 12.30am.
Previous event participants claim to have experienced mysterious happenings, and Cllr Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s lead member for culture and leisure, said: “These ghost-hunting events are very popular, but they are definitely not for the faint-hearted.
“As a serious paranormal investigation, you never know what may happen, and most people who have taken part in previous years have claimed to have experienced some form of ‘ghostly’ and unexplained activity.”
Contact the museum to book your tickets on 0115 907 1141. Tickets cost £28, which includes refreshments. Alcohol is not permitted at the event.
